Everyone is welcome at Mental Health Forum meetings.
They’re held on the third Tuesday of each month – 12.30 for a 1pm start. They usually last through to about 3pm.

Do contact Peter, our Forum Development Worker, if you want support to attend our meetings, or if you want him to raise issues on your behalf.

The next meeting is on Novenber 17th.

Time to Change

The Health Improvement Team have organised a library ‘road show’ taking time to change information around all the libraries. Time to change is the national project to reduce the stigma and discrimination about mental health problems.

Several people have said that payments for involvement may clash with their benefits.

5 Boroughs have made arrangements for everyone to get individual advice which covers benefits and tax, before they start to do any involvement work for the Trust. The rules are complicated – different benefits allow you to earn different amounts. They will advise you so that you will not lose benefits by taking part in the scheme.

Lighthouse project

Many people will be aware that the Lighthouse project has ceased trading. We are reassured that the PCT has made alternative arrangements to ensure that people can continue to access services. All people who used their service, should receive written information about temporary arrangements. The arrangements are under regular review.

September 15th meeting

The speaker for our meeting on Tuesday will be our new Forum Development worker, Peter Cowley. Peter will tell us about his first impressions of St Helens and the Forum and we will discuss his priorities for the months ahead.
